Chiva Falls Pools Overnight - September 2014

We had another amazing adventure up to Chiva Falls Pools. We made it through Three-Feathers before we had an unfortunate casualty in a very large puddle as the Beast took a bigger gulp than she could handle. She has endured a lot and we expect to see her out at the next adventure. We finally made it to the pools and I would just like to take a moment to thank Hurricane Odile for filling up the pools and keeping the waterfalls flowing near Chiva Falls. She was also kind enough to clear out so we could enjoy an overnight camping trip with no rain and amazing night skies clear enough to see the haze of the Milky Way. The water temp. had that perfect nip for a hot day. And we all took advantage of the swimming hole and gushing beer-tinged falls that fell into what was ultimately determined to be a bottomless grotto. We had a couple brave folks cliff jump into it just to make sure. There were several ideal jumping spots as the water was deep and everyone tested there courage taking the plunge from at least one. A couple of big nuts took the 40 ft plunge and others pulled out some bold flips. We had good food, good drink, and great company to finish out another classic Off-Friday Off-Roading camping trip.

Suhterland Trail - May 2, 2014

Sutherland Trail was confirmed on Friday as the most difficult trail we've run thus far.  It took hours just to go a few miles.  Most vehicles handled the obstacles - although we did have a breakdown.  We took the trail as far as we could go and had lunch at the top near an almost stagnant stream.  We had a great turnout, scenic views, hot but good weather, and just an all around great time.  Enjoy the pics.

Reddington Pass - Chimney Rock 8/09/13

We made our return to Chimney Rock.  We had some new folks come out to test their vehicles. Once they had done a few obstacles, they gained some confidence and really tested their vehicles.  Here's some highlights from the day, but if you have the time, you should check out all 200 photos (link below) since there's a few cool burst shots of some of the obstacles.
